Coming from an extensive background in public land management, Steven spent 15 years as a Parks Land Manager with Wellington City Council and the Department of Conservation as a Recreation Advisor. He has been involved in developing the Mountain bike trail and construction guidelines with Recreation Aotearoa. Steve has his own business Paper Trails NZ, with a vision to help deliver a consistent MTB trail grading system across NZ. He is current role is with the Queenstown Lakes District Council parks program that involves extensive investment into local mountain biking tracks.
He is a keen volunteer trail builder, trail building educator and works as a youth mountain bike instructor with WORD.
