Grant Applications
If you have a backcountry project in your local area that requires funding then either contact the National Operations Manager or our North Island Project Manager.
They will have any additional information about the maintenance status on the facility and the work plans for the area. They maybe able to initiate a conversation with the right local people at DOC to discuss the project. They will let you know what funds are available with our funding agreements and guide you through the BCT expectations around reporting, Health & Safety and delivery of the project.
The best time to put in an application for projects to the BCT is in the quieter winter months between the beginning of June and the end of September each year.
By spring most of our summer work program and budget is locked in and depending on the scale and urgency of the project you maybe asked to submit it for the following year.
