Josh is a practising barrister, originally from Timaru but based in Auckland since 2004. He has a long standing passion for the outdoors and the environment, as well as contributing time, advice, and energy to the not-for-profit sector.
He enjoys (in no particular order) boating, fishing, biking, tramping, hunting, and skiing. He is a strong supporter of the backcountry hut network and public access to public land. His wife and four children all enjoy getting into the outdoors and exploring New Zealand, from Aotea/Great Barrier Island in the north to Rakiura/Stewart Island in the south.
Josh represents the New Zealand Deer Stalkers Association, the home of recreational hunters in New Zealand.
