To enable and empower communities to restore, maintain and enhance our backcountry huts and tracks, as a living heritage, for the benefit of all.

Board of Trustees

Trustees are appointed for two year terms. The three founding organisations – Federated Mountain Clubs, New Zealand Deerstalkers Association and Trail Fund NZ – each nominate two trustees each. The Trust is a Registered Charitable Trust with the Charities Commission of NZ  (Number CC 54962) and has Donee Status with IRD​.
