Guy is a passionate mountain biker - and occasional tramper, climber and ski mountaineer. Along with 2 mates, he completed the first off-road mountain bike traverse of the South Island back in 1997. He represented the NZ Mountain Bike Association from 1995 to 2006 in the campaign for mountain bike access on selected tracks within National Parks. Guy is a co-founder of local cycle clothing brand Ground Effect - a rare beast that still designs and manufactures outdoor gear right here in New Zealand.
